The Santa Barbara Paralegal Association is holding its full-day Fall MCLE conference on September 20, 2014. Please see flyer attached for details.

We seek 28 Student Community Service Volunteers; seven at each of the four shifts. The shifts are scheduled as follows: Friday Night 5:00 to 7:30 and Sat: 7:30 to 11:30 – 11:30 to 3:30 – 3:30 to 6:30.

Continental breakfast or lunch will be provided to the students working those shifts.

Duties of the student volunteers will include:

• Directing folks into the parking area
• Directing folks from the parking area to the one open door that we will have open before the courthouse is open to the public
• Directing folks from the open door to the registration table area
• Assisting with physical set up for vendors and committee members
• Assisting with moving supplies from cars into the building to the staging jury room
• Assisting with registration of speakers and attendees
• Assisting with running errands from floor to floor
• Assisting with set up/clean up for the continental breakfast
• Assisting with set up/clean up for lunch service – this may involve assisting with getting food from delivery on the curb to the jury room 1 on the second floor.
• Assisting with set up/clean up for the wine/cheese event (minors will not be involved with alcohol in any way)
• Pack and carry materials from the staging jury room back to cars when we leave
• Assisting with vendor and committee table clean up/break down at end of day
• Assisting with courtroom clean up
